Factory Painted Med Olive/Dk Olive...Anyone with other factory color combinations?
Longhorn Man got me to a thinking. My glove box option sheet on my truck shows that it came from the factory painted with Med. Olive, with Dk. Olive being the bottom color. Normally these trucks are painted white with another color.
Does anyone have other factory painted colors that does not include white as one of the two colors. Would this have been a special option from the factory? How many two-tone options were avaliable for these trucks? Was other years avaliable with this paint combo option? (My truck is a 70cst) I have confidence that those of this board will have the answers to these perplexing questions. If I don't get the answers I don't know what I am going to do? Let the answers begin...or should I say speculations?

That grapefruit color could be with medium olive, either color for accent. And,medium olive with dark olive, either color for accent. Those are listed in the dealer order books along with white being accent for all colors.

Thanks for the picture. Is that your truck. It is a good looking truck. When my grandmother had a 70 impala she had the Med. Olive and I thought it was the ugliest color in the world. Now in my old age I like the Med. and Dark Olive colors together. Either I'm getting old or GM was about27 years ahead of its time. I choose the latter!!

Until Longhorn Man mentioned it...I never gave the two colors a second thought. I thought it was just another color combo. But then again...our trucks look nice in any color.

hey, that one looks familar!! It has been repainted, but it does that color combo on the glove box sheet. Not sure how close it is to stock colors.

Re: Factory Painted Med Olive/Dk Olive...Anyone with other factory color combinations?
Again...this thread confirms that the Longhorn man knows his stuff. It's apparrent there are not to many two tone trucks that do not have white as one of the two primary colors.
