'72 Bench Seat Release Pictures Needed.....

Hi, Can anyone help me by providing some pictures of their (RH) passenger's side seat release/lock mechanism? My '72 is either missing something or broken on that side? It has the release wire that goes across and attaches to a metal piece with notches in it, but that piece will not stay put in the track mechanism. I would think that there should be something else to hold that notched piece in place.

Thank you!

There is a spring and retainer that goes on the door side of the seat track.

Riddick, thanks for the offer, but I think I'll end up just buying a new track rather than changing out the whole seat.

Thanks again!

71tahoe, thank you for those pictures! I can see that I'm missing that outer spring and retainer now. I'll probably have to buy another (RH) seat track to get the parts I need to fix mine.

Thanks again!

Wow! That looks completely different from the zip ties holding mine in place.

Been there, done that. Luckily a parts truck I bought had a good seat track to fix it.
