Damn that thing is soild! What a great looking truck! Do you have any more details on it? How about building that 6! I know that they sell blowers for I-6's! hehehe that would be KILLER seeing a blower attached to an inline 6!

Looks like a bad ass truck. But if I'm not mistaken I see the inevitable rocker rust. The truck prolly has rusty floors, but its your money, and maybe you can do something with it. Inspect it throughly and then offer him less, point out its flaws and try to get it for cheap therefore you'll have the extra money to put in the V8 and T350.

You'd be nuts not to snatch that one up at 2300, but you gotta try for less. Just don't walk away and let the other guy get it hehehe...Rocker panel rust? never seen an original without it.

it looks like the rockers are gone, and if thats new shiny paint you gotta think about what might be under it.

Looks like a very good starting point and like you said drive it with six till your ready to drop something else in. Looks like one of the trucks you would see a little ol white hair man driving to the mailbox and back. Buy it, drop it, drive it.

Many of us have paid a lot more for a lot less. Jump on it bubba as nice GMC are hard to find. The dam grill is worth 4-500. alone!!
OK I'm going to give away a secret here----what you do is borrow a cane or crutches from someone or buy one in the flea market---hobble over to the thing and hobble around it looking for significant rust or body work that would turn off the deal. If you find it is solid enough, (make sure you check the cab supports, cab corners, inner rear quarters etc.) Then hobble over to the seller looking a pittyful as you can and offer him like $1,700. cash in his nose. Then see if he blinks. I doesn't hurt to wear two different shoes and only one sock with a tattered shirt etc.!! Work the deal and work that cane---. I works for me but then again I have bad knees~~~~~Huck |

This truck caught my eye some months ago at Classictrucks.com and I POO-POOed it because it was a 6 banger and a SB; I saw it again at Hemmings recently; it is a smart looking truck; what a dumba$$ I am; if it was closer to Roanoke I would have to consider it more; I think it would be a good deal for you; go for it

I got it for $2000! Dammit I tried to get it for $1600, the guy about Fell over! Tried $1800 was flabergasted! Its gonna need rockers and supports. The firewall is rusted at the bottom of the cowl, and the radiator support is rusted with the battery tray. I pick it up on the 19th!
