4x4 to 2wd conversion

Wanting to convert a 72' 4x4 blazer into 2wd. Could a 77' 2wd blazer chassis be used, and the body of the 72' 4x4 bolt on with no problems???

it won't "bolt on no problem" ... cut it could be made to work ... with enough time and money ANYTHING can be made to work.

The chassis won't boly up but the 2wd front suspension will with a little work...

Re: 4x4 to 2wd conversion

Easiest way is to use the entire front suspension from the '77 on your frame and flip the rear axle on top of the leaves. That will leave you sitting about where my Blazer used to be...

Re: 4x4 to 2wd conversion

2wd blazers are hard enough to find. Before I hacked up the newer model I would sell it and use the funds to buy a 2wd front suspension out from under a pickup.
