TDC & oil pump question
When you putting a engine to TDC where is the oil pump line supposed to point to? Does it point toward#1 or does it point down the center of the valley?
Engine is a 350 with a HEI. Thanks

Pointing the oil pump slot at #5 will give about 8 BTDC.
More background on the question would be good - I feel like I'm missing something here

the rotor should point to #1 so turn the oil pump shaft to make the distributer point that way

Ok thats what I did wrong then. Ok I will repoint it to #1 and go from there
