what is backspacing i have read several post recently about wheels and just dont know

Backspacing is a measurement of how far the lug nut holes are from the outside edge of the wheel. That is the easiest way I can explain it. There was a recent post on here with a diagram of 2", 3" and 4" backspacing so if you do a search you may find it.
