I know I'm not supposed to sell anything here, and I'm not trying to. I just want to find someone that needs an entire undercarriage so that I can get a new one. The Fox is a 72 4x4 and is running. Until my daughter was born and gas doubled, it was a daily driver, but now just sits in the driveway looking for the time to go out. Anything that is not part of the body I'd like to replace. There's nothing wrong with what I've got, I just want something VERY different.

Freeze- haven't seen you around in a while. What are you planning on doing to the truck? Are you going to keep it a 4wd? Have you considered putting in a TPI set-up and an overdrive transmission?

Haven't been around in a while... stuff happens. What I want to do is rather radical: cut down a Duramax 4x4 and slide it under the body. I already have TBI and a 700r4 trans... The stroker is great, but impossible at $2.50+ a gallon. Duramax is still Chevy, and there's promise with BioDiesel.

Thought about going propane too, but can't get any ideas of what MPG I'd get.

Doesn't sound very cost effective to me. If it's the 2.50 per gallon your worried about wait til you get the price for the donor duramax truck.

It seems to me that with all the differences in wheel base, track width, body mounts, etc, it would be easier to stuff the duramax between the stock frame rails.

I do agree with JTRUX, you should do an ROI analysis to see how/when you would break even. Unless, you just want to do a radical project to see if it can be done, in that case, go for it.

Sadly, I don't think the blazer running gear is worth much. Most of the value i s in the body. LUV has been considering selling his rolling frame with the powerplant from GQ. It is a beautiful frame with mostly new components. Estimates from board members put it around $2K.

You might consider welding a cage on the frame and building a buggy.
