Moving engine forward
Need to move engine forward from the stock 4wd position. Will move approximately 3.5 inches forward to clear the longer 700r4 and spacer. Suburban is stock height.
Any issues with the engine crossmember mount and front differential? Perhaps a low profile ORD mount would be better? Clearance looks tight if the suspension is at full compression. I guess I could move the 205 rearward but I would like to pull the engine away from the firewall. I'd rather not split the difference... seems like twice the work. Thanks.

Re: Moving engine forward
I am in the same boat on my 4L80E/205 install and will probably be splitting the difference. Wasn't my first choice but I am pretty sure the motor won;t go foward the full 3.5 inches.

Re: Moving engine forward
I'm doing a 700r4 with a 205 and I moved the engine forward 1.75". I had a shorter output shaft put in the trans, so it bolted up directly to where the th350 was. I don't think I'll have clearance problems with the 4" lift, and it will get the distributor away from the firewall.
