need steering help on 4x4
not sure if this is the right section, but here goes: I swapped out my 1/2 ton suspension and axles on my '67 burb for the 3/4 ton axles and suspension from my '68 GMC truck. Everything went ok, but now I'm having trouble getting the steering arm, I think that is what it is called, back into the axle knuckle on both trucks. Doesn't seem to want to hammer in or press in. I tried pressing it in with the 4 studs/nuts that hold it in place with no success. Any tricks or help would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: need steering help on 4x4
I'm not to clear on this either. Is it a D44?

Re: need steering help on 4x4
If original then it's closed knuckle dana 44 with four bolts holding it on. I took mine right off and put it on with no issues....

Re: need steering help on 4x4
Thanks guys for all the concerns and info, but I figured it out. Seemed to be more of an alignment problem, getting a round peg in a square hole type thing.
