I would like to buy a decent shape SWB Truck (prefer 71,72) but doesn't matter that is in partial need of rebuild (cab not completely gone) My budget is $3000 or less and preferably close to Idaho. Maybe post pics in this thread please (If that is allowable)

Uhm, how close to idaho? I may have one in a few days. It's a 68 short wide bed with a 71/72 nose on it. WES

Wes, your close enough if I could use a trailer or if it was a driver, atleast up over the pass, I live close to Boise Idaho so anywhere close to that.
Also is the nose also the brakes?

I have a real solid 72 on a nice 68 frame and all the paperwork on both. The bed is really nice, new dropped spindles & springs, 5-lug front & rear, no eng/trans. This truck is $2,900.

That is truly nice, can I get pics of the routine problem areas? I assume that you know the areas that I am talking about.

I only see a little (pin holes) rust on top of rockers, in by the rubber!!! Doors are very solid, cab spts, floor, firewall, windshield, CS etc all good. The bed is worth about $1,500.
I will get a few pics, but don't know what to show you.

Too bad youre so far away. My friend has 7 trucks he is trying to sell. A 1968 GMC short step side,1969 short step side,1969 LWB 1/2,1971 short fleetside, 1975 short step side,1977 short step side,1991 short fleetside.-OH forgot one...1968 CHEVY LWB 1/2t.

I have been to his place on several occasions, he does have some very nice truck parts, his brother and his father also sell stuff for our trucks on ebay under the user name of alfierus or something similar.
