Time capsule! Reminds me of when I found the original warranty card and other papers in the glove box that helped me put together what I believe to be a very complete history of the trucks past owners.

Re: Finding the good and bad

I have found keys like in a lot of used cars I have had. Found an extra ignition key for my 73 in an old sock wired up to the inner fender under the hood, lol. Had to buy door locks and a door key since I never found the original.

Re: Finding the good and bad

I actually did that exact same thing. I bought an 86 camaro that had no door lock or hatch key only ignition, so I had to leave it unlocked. Well after doing alot of body work and primering the thing several times, without ever noticing anything, lol. I was talking about the grille one day and kinda shoved my hand into the opening while I was talking about felt something move well I grabbed it and it was one of thoose magnetic key holders that had a door key in it!!!!!

Re: Finding the good and bad

My Dad found a set of original key knockouts wired to the speedo cable in his (now mine...) '37 Chevy coupe. I need to look up there. He put them back, and they are still there AFAIK.
