Re: Nice Truck

Can you say, "Mailslot" when describing the rear window?

I'd have to tuck my neck in to drive that.

Still nice bodywork, as far as the photo goes.

Re: Nice Truck

Unless the PO drove it under a lifted semi trailer, such actions should be treated as an act of treason and the immediate reversal of said action must be acted upon under full penalty of law if said chop wasnt corrected into an appropriate and pre-approved chop.

hell, anyone can purchase parts, bolt them on and call it "restored" ... it takes fabrication talent to cut one apart and put it back together

Re: Nice Truck

I'm with the more is not always better crowd.I don't think a little chop is too bad but that seems like too much.If I wanted the chopped look on one of these trucks I would probably stretch it about 4-6 inches to make it look chopped without lowering the lid.

Re: Nice Truck

i can always appreciate nice craftsmanship, but that looks like s$%t. i can't believe they would also spend that much time and money and then drill and put rivets and snaps for an old school bed cover. wheels are a little over the top for me as well, but that's why they make all kinds. each to his own, it is a nice truck and i'm sure the owner loves it and is proud of a nice truck, as he should be.

Re: Nice Truck

Looks bad ass imho. I was screwing around in paint with a picture of my truck a few weeks ago and this is what I came up with. Looks earily similar. I agree the wheels are too much. I'm planning on going with gloss red 18" Vette rallys, hot rod black and either flames or yellow-on-orange scallops and wide whitewalls. Not the most popular ideas/direction for these trucks but hey, I paid for it, and I'm the one that has to live with it. Being 6' I'll have to get creative with the seat to have some head room (thinkin bout a Tea's Design seat but at 1200 bux for a pair of buckets hopefully I can find something cheaper) Let the hating begin.

Re: Nice Truck

A mild chop can look good, but the main thing I see that doesn't look right (asides from the amount chopped) is that they did it level. If the rear was chopped less... even just 2 inches, it woulda looked better IMO.
There's a longhorn owner on here... crazy longhorn I think is the screen name, he isn't around much anymore.. his rig looks pretty good with a chop. I'll see if I can't dig up the pics

Re: Nice Truck

yep, here we go. This is chopped, I think it was channeled down over the frame, an all steel tilt front end, and lots of small mods, converted to 1/2 ton running gear, and has housed many odd engine combos including a cad and a bad ass big olds motor.
