Trouble code 032.. EGR bad?

I've been having this code for awhile now... the truck stalls when accellerating and then the check engine light comes on. I havent replaced the EGR yet... but I did push on the diaphram and it hesitates a bit. with that said and what I have read- it appears that the EGR is okay? My gutt feeling is telling me to still replace it... whats ur thoughts??
Thanks!
Anthony

First thing to do is remove it and hook a hose to it submerge it in H2o and either blow or suck or both and see if it has any leaks.

Next with the valve removed from the H2o suck on the hose and and let go the diaphram should return to the closed postition slow and smothly without any sticking if all this is good then you need to look at the vaccum connections fittings lines if there good then look at the Ele. connector on the vaccum solinoid for any corrosion or any other defects. if it looks good then it may be the solinoid but you should test it befor you replace it.

Re: Trouble code 032.. EGR bad?

hey, sorry to hijack the thread, but im having the same problem, a constant miss, especially whne teh engine is put on a load right after idle. its a 84 motne carlo we just bought with 34k on the clock, weve replace cap, rotor, plugs, wires, and still no sucsess, and our guy siad it might be the egr valve, any other oppinions?

Sorry for the hijack,
