Needle Position on the Gauges

I just rebuild my instrument cluster and I made the mistake of not marking the relative needle position on the speedo, tach and fuel gauge before I pulled them off to paint. How can I set those needles so they are in the right spot?

Re: Needle Position on the Gauges

Is trial and error the only way I am going to get the needles in the right spot?

Re: Needle Position on the Gauges

The speedo should be set to zero and the fuel gauge I would just fill the truck up and then set it to full. As for the tach, I have no idea. Is the tach factory? If it is factory and you pulled the needle off I think you are screwed. The factory tach needle is not meant to come off.
