best way to access windshield washer pump

i,ve got to swap out my windshield washer pump and its on the back of the wiper motor right ? will pulling the instrument panel let me access it good ? my truck has a/c also.

Yes. Thats how i did mine a few years back. Especially since you have a/c.

Forget it! They are junk & hard to get at.
Install a small electric pump next to the washer bottle...easy to install and easy to replace.

Do you have to remove the instrument panel to get the motor out as well? I have to get a new wiper motor.

I havent had any problems with the replacements. And the oe one in my orange and white worked till I took it out of service in 2000.
As for replacing the wiper motor. Yes remove the cluster. And you will have to remove the cowl to to undo the motor from the linkage.

the service manual says remove the ignition switch and it can be accessed but i agree it is much easier to remove the cluster
