I'm willing to be at the shop....drink beer.....and pass wrenches

I'm pretty sure the PO is not on these boards because I spoke to him and the owner before him today trying to find out what sort of multi-year hybrid motor is in this thing......apparently neither of them could ever figure it out either and both sold it after a couple years ea. of tinkering.

Who drives a truck with a belt broken across the width of the tire that lifts the truck 2-3 inches every rotation? It's like a carnival ride

BTW...I found out the cab wasn't a big rust repair job...they missed the frame when trying to put it up on a lift and didn't notice until it had pretty much seperated the cab from the frame

sorry man, i cant take on any thing else right now , i have my own things that are not getting done and stressing me out.

besides the ride home from your place sucks @$$

if your gonna pull the front clip off, that would be a good time to get at the power steering bolts.

btw take the front bumper of FIRST. and you can pull the ft clip of in one piece.

Re: Need a mechanic

Which bolts are broken off? Are they broken clean to the block and nothing sticking out? Is there enough room to weld a nut on? Are you going to pull off the front end? Enough Questions yet? J.

Power steering is back together and I'm covered in grease....wife's gonna love this. If you understand transmission kickdown cables, etc. it still needs help that's beyond my scope of thrashing. It doesn't seem to shift....but I'm not sure I'm going fast enough with the Flintstone wheels on it

Is the cable hooked up to the carb linkage and then going to the trans., mite be adjustment. Willing to take a road trip, but on Vacation n/week.
Cool to see your getting into it, careful it's contagious. We could always have a meet at your place, like the old days... J.

Key is to degrease before you rebuild...LOL
