im not exactly sure. i have one on my column but its not used. when i switched my wiring i ripped my wiring out and put the painless wiring in and dident use it. neutral safety switch maybe? idk somebody will pop in that knows what it is.

I would say it's either nuteral saftey or reverse lights.
