channeling front A-frame section
Just wondering how hard is it to channel the front a-frame section of these trucks. Want to lower it without using any spindles or cut coils to keep that factory ride, just wondering though, since I can't afford the porterbuilt front end
 . some pictures would be very helpful.

if you are referring to moving the crossmember up into the frame there was a lengthy thread here a few years ago. something like X-member drop or something.

Sectioning the cross member will get you 1.25-1.50 inches, depending on how much grinding you want to do. It's a pretty easy task as long as you can cut and weld. You can also "Z" the frame to pick up a few more inches but in doing so you create a wealth of other interference problems to correct. It's a pretty involved process. If you swap in a disc front end you can use drop spindles for 2.5-3 inches (depending on what year front end you use) and still keep the factory ride.
