Blazer tank LWB fuel system help

I am getting ready to install the blazer tank in my 70c10 LWB fleet. Any suggestions as far as fuel delivery system - pump, fuel line, regulator.
I am seriously considering the summit kit
Any feedback would be appreciated

Re: Blazer tank LWB fuel system help

What are your fuel needs? Are you running a electric fuel pump now? I just put a 73-87 Blazer tank in my LWB. I use 3/8" fuel line, or what ever is stock. I ran a hard line from the tank to where the "behind the seat" tank connected on the frame and used rubber fuel line there to make the splice. I bought the sender from a localparts store for $55 and the straps bought them from Lowes. I used the same straps used to tie down mobile homes to the ground when they are set up.

Re: Blazer tank LWB fuel system help

you cant do much better than a good old mechanical fuel pump//unless you're running 700-8oohp then it might be time for electric

Re: Blazer tank LWB fuel system help

Will a mechanical pump be good enough to pull the fuel from all the way from the back of the truck?
I don't have any fuel line components at all at this point. I need everything from blazer tank to carb.
I have thought about using an electric pump mounted on the frame near the blazer tank.

Re: Blazer tank LWB fuel system help

A mechanical pump will be fine. You really want to run steel fuel line from the tank to the fuel pump. I cheated a little at the tank and used a 2' piece of rubber fuel line, flared the steel line and clamped the rubber line to it. I ren it inside the frame rail up to where the factory tank hooked in and did the same thing. You could use braided hose all the way from the tank to the f pump, but it is a little pricey.
