Park Neutral Safety Switch

OK...I got a new one from AutoZone.

I do need to go and jumper the old one to get my truck home.

After I jumper it...does the jumper need to stay in place?

I would imagine it does not matter because the switch is made while sitting still in park.

So I can drive it hom with the jumper installed and then replace the switch.

Yes. The jumper will eliminate the neutral switch. Once the jumper is in place the truck will start in any gear.

Re: Park Neutral Safety Switch

You only need the jumper in place to start the truck. If it falls out while driving nothing will happen, but you couldn't restart the truck.
