Where's the bottom on your fuel gauge?
I found the bottom on mine. At 1/8th of a tank.
I've had this truck for about 6 months. On the way home from work yesterday I was sitting at about an 1/8th, so I pulled in to the Arco station to fill up. For some reason my fast-pay card was refused, so I proceeded home, thinking I'd fill up in the morning on the way to work the next day. This morning I fired it up, it ran real crappy, then died. Sure enough, the clear in-line fuel filter was empty. Drat! Good thing I had an gallon of gas in the shed. Better that I was out in front of the house and not on the road when it happened. So where's the bottom on your fuel gauge?

I dunno yet. I know full is way up yonder past the full mark. I'm guessing mine is going to be like yours. But so far I haven't gone down that low.

Mine is way past empty. For years I aways thought it had a 16 gallon tank because if I filled up when it got to "E" I could only get a little over 15 gallons in it. I drained the tank when I restored it and the first time I filled it up after that I put almost 20 gallons in it.[30 bucks] If you want it to read correctly you could always bend the float rod.

If you're feeling ambitious you can take the cluster apart when the needle hits "empty" and move it over carefully until its actually just below the empty line. I've done this on mine.

My bottom I haven't found (has anyone heard the joke about not being able to find one's "bottom" with both hands?), but my top is 'way over the "F" mark. The bottom must be below "E": just above "E" means I've still got about three gallons.

Totally full the gauge goes about 1/8 past F mark. I can still hear sloshing when on E but never taken the chance to go below that.

Mine has about 2 gallons to go when it first hits empty, and pretty much stays there.
My dad always claimed it was empty at 1/8 tank...but eventually I decided to push it, since he also was convinced it only held 18 gallons, heh. He claims he'd ran it out of gas there before...but he's got a habit of doing such things... I've put 20.6 gallons in it many, many times. My full is at right about 7/8 tank.
