keep'n it OL' SCHOOO! ask your dad, grandpa etc..

I upgraded my 1964 chevy truck's transmission w/ an overdrive 1964 truck trans. My problem is with one of my "3 on the tree" bars. My 1rst gear/Reverse bar clears the clutch lever perfectly and is able to change gears #1/reverse w/ out any problems. My 2nd/3rd gear bar is all in the way of the clutch lever. Are there different column shift bars for overdrive vs reg. 1964 trans.? Do I need to modify my 2nd/3rd gear bar? Does it go under, over or on the side of the clutch lever? PLEASE all you w/ a 230 3speed column shift send pictures. Or OL SCHOO knowledge will be much appreciated. I'd hate to put my reg. 3speed trans back in. It's not freeway friendly. PS my pictures are comming soon. thanks
