roll bar

Seems like there is always lots of questions on where to get rollbars.
I was very lucky and latched onto a Smithbuilt.
Is there any interest in building your own or having one built locally for you? I am probably going to take mine out sometime next month to do some work to my blazer before the top goes on for the winter. If enough people are interested I could take the time to do some serious measurements (pipe thickness, bend radius, lengths etc.), take detailed pictures and autocad up plans for the one I have. The last thing I need is another project as it will take some time on my part to put everything together. If enough members are interested then to help everyone out I would take on the project. With that said, it would probably be fair to ask maybe $10 per set of emailed plans to pay for my time and effort. Answer in thread.

Only pics I have with me right now.

Re: roll bar

Does that mount on the frame?
If so I would be interested in it. And as long as you know what you are doing!! LOL I don't need a CAD drawing but would take one if it was true and correct.

Re: roll bar

I would be interested in the specs. What was the cost of the manufactured one, so I could compare build cost? Where did you get the vinyl top? Thanks

Vinyl top was made by a local guy. I think he charged me $200.

I was able to find some really cheap 12 volt lights.
Otherwise you could use an inverter from the cigarette lighter. A cheap plug-in inverter can also save money on car chargers for cell phones. Use your home charger in the inverter instead of buying the car charger for another $25.
