72 Lower Trim, Questions

I'm getting closer and closer to the day I order my new lower trim for my 72LWB, and the closer I get, the more I wonder how I'm going to go about installing it. Here's my questions:
-I see LMC have the whole kit for $300 with clips. Is it the same quality as anyones? I'll be doing black.
-I see they also sell the matching tailgate band I need and the letters. Does the band come with the letters or do I have to buy them separately?
-What clips does the kit come with, or better yet, what clips are reccommended use?
-What order do I put the trim on in? If there are nuts that need to go on, some can't be reached with panels on, which is why I ask.

That's about it. Thanks!

Re: 72 Lower Trim, Questions

The lower trim can all be installed with the panels on. I would highly recommend using the clips with nuts! They pull in tight a lot better. You do have to have the inner door panels removed to do it. If you didn't already have the holes, I would recommend getting the diagrams from the builders guide for hole placement. If you don't have a builders guide, you should get one from LMC or ?? Also, someone on here will scan the pics that you need until you get your own guide. I can't remember who, though.

Re: 72 Lower Trim, Questions

I have two sets of this trim for a LWB with the clips. I'm not going to use it. I'm having mine welded up altogether upper & lower. I will make a great deal on it if your interested in it. I have extra clips also.
MT1972cheyenne,
What is this about the mounting holes? Curious even though I'm not going to use mine, I haven't ever herd about where the holes should be drilled. I just drilled the hole and put the clip where it needed to be.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
