What problems will arise

Can't seem to find a decent 350 from a 67-72 in this part of the world but i did find one that was just rebuilt 20k ago out of a 81 GMC 1/2 ton. This motor should be turn key will all accesories and brackets and exaust manafolds.

The question I will have to use 80's exaust or is there any difference and will I need a new wiring harness for the front as I still have my 292 harness in the vehicle, and lastly can I use the 67-72 motor mounts or do I have to fit the 81 mounts into my frame.

Thanks for the help and any other problems I may run into.

I can't find anything decent that doesn't blow blue or white smoke been checking the paper and every salvage and second hand shop everyone here thinks theie crap is made of gold. Heck I even am trying to import an engine from other board members. Maybe I have had bad luck the last several weeks looking.

yea, i know what you mean on salvage yards think their stuff is gold... rebuilt ones go for around 800 here, add your oil pan, dizzy, carb, and manifold..and with a core knock off bout 200 so 600$ with a core..

I need to move to Dallas rebuilt here aroung 1k to 1.2k with core. We have the problem that most of these engines have been scrapped or used for other rebuilds. Most salvage yards dont go back farther than 84. I've called most of them unless there is a hidden one i don't know about in the area.
