Re: What is Por 15

POR 15 is an anti rust paint. You clean the surface area, and brush this stuff on, it encapsulates the rust and metal. It is great to use on frames and other parts to ensure that it doesn't rust. Cost is about $45 or so per quart

Por 15 is this black liquidy substance sent down to us from the heavens to stop the evil plague we know called "rust"......lol..... Usually you will find Por 15 in a vendors section at truck shows. I believe that there is a board member or 2 that you can get it from. I'll try and get ya a name.

Here:
http://www.por15.com/

Awesome product! Dries like ceramic and it actually bubbles as it works into the rust then dries smooth.
DO NOT get it on your skin. It will NOT wash off it has to wear off, trust me I know! hahahaa

Re: What is Por 15

I got it from there website. por-15.com I works SO well. I would use it again in a heartbeat. I ordered 2 quarts and a gallon of there metal ready for my blazer frame and ended up with a about a half of a quart left over. My arms were black for about a week but I dont care! LOL Definitely wear more than just gloves if you don't want it stuck on ya. I used brushes to apply it.

It turns into a surface that is as tough or maybe tougher than powder coating IMO I cant say enough good about it. It did make the holes smaller in the frame and its a little though to get some bolts through so watch it if you have clearances and tolerances that are tight its hard as hell to get it out with out a drill or hammering the bolt through.

I'm a welder and wear leather or coveralls head to toe all day every day so it doesn't matter what my arms have on them.

This stuff is great! Bought mine from a local body shop that also sells a few supplies. It was $35 per qt.
