I want to put the spare tire under my truck the way I *think* it would have been originally. My truck is a 1969 short wheelbase stepside.

I got all the parts from a long bed truck in the junkyard but after setting it in place, I'm not sure if I have this correct. (holder really shows from the rear of the truck and looks ugly)

If anyone has a pic of the proper location of this, I'd appreciate seeing it.

Hope these help. I got one of each end and then an overall shot. I can't get a rearend shot because my truck is backed in the garage and I've got the front end disassembled. I have a step bumper on my truck and I've never noticed the tire carrier hanging down where you can see it. If you would like any other shots, just let me know.

That looks like the way I have this in. I have a chrome non step bumper on mine so maybe it shows more with that.
