thats the one. I plan on doing the same thing on mine. The one problem I forsee is that my stock antenna wire is not long enough, Does anyone make an extension?

I did a similar thing to mine. I kept the stock radio in. Any car audio place should have radio antennae extensions.

I bought an antenna extension and the black plastic under dash stereo mount. I also put a 6-disc changer in my console as every stereo shop said that the life expectancy of the player in the head unit isn't very long since it isn't designed to mount vertically. They motor in the player is most likely to wear out. I just bought the changer figuring that it was easier to

Here is a pic of the stereo that came with my blazer. It is one of the remakes that your favorite vendor will have. The amps are under the back seat with speakers in the side panels and thumpers behind the rear seat.
