Re: Rocky Ford Pull

Congrats! I haven't looked but is there any pulling competition at the state fair at all? It's not too far away. If so let me know and I'll try to be there to root for you and the truck!

Gun control, the theory that 110lb. women have the "right" to fistfight with 210lb. rapists.

The reason animal rights activists are more passionate about fur than leather is because it's safer to harrass rich women than bikers...

Re: Rocky Ford Pull

If you guys hit the link under my signature, you'll go to my Team FRANKENSTEIN website. There are pics of me and my trophy's on there. I was right at 6300 RPM. All stock bottom end!!! This winter I plan on getting crazy with the engine. I'm gonna bump the compression from 11 to 13, and get a solid cam with .650 lift. This of course means I'll be running in the 7500 RPM range which means I'll also be getting forged crank and rods.

As a matter of fact, I DO plan on pulling in Pueblo on the third. See you there.

A......

Re: Rocky Ford Pull

Congrat’s Dieseleater!

I didn’t realize the Rocky Ford fairgrounds still had truck and tractor pulls. I remember going there when I was a kid with my much older brother. My parents originate from that area (Sugar City & Olney Springs). Used to do a lot of bird hunting down there as well.

Just last month my wife and I took my Mom down to Ordway for Crowley County Days for the parade, craft fare, etc as it is big deal to her to visit her old stomping grounds. My wife and I got more accustom to the big turn outs in the parks in the Detroit subs when we lived in MoTown and forgot how cool the farming and ranching communities of Eastern Colorado were. We actually had a great time down there. Unfortunately, we had other obligations to attend that night in Canon City and missed out on the mud bogging competition they host at the Ordway fairgrounds.

Your truck sounds all kinds of pissed off in that video….SWEET! Hopefully, I can make to the Pueblo Fairgrounds on Labor Day for your next pull. If you need to use a shop to make any last minute “adjustment” while you’re in town let me know…

Here are a few cool things that were in the Crowley County Day parade (I left out the redneck renegade of hack up trucks lined up for the mud bog. Front lift blocks and all ) …..check out the dudes shoveling smoked beef out of a huge container with pitch forks. Yes, it was good food too.

I bet most folks do not know what kind of melons Rocky Ford is famious for....

I didn't realize there were any other guys that close. I'm in La Junta. I missed the fair this year, because I was towing a truck home.
