I just notified eBay. The removal of the listing usually takes several days. Unfortunately, the scammer probably makes out pretty well when the listing is removed early. Think about it...

There might be a several people interested in purchasing the vehicle watching it on ebay asking questions but not bidding and poof!, the listing is gone. The buyers start thinking, "Dog gone it, I really wanted that truck." The seller and buyer were likely having discussions about the Blazer before the listing was removed. The several people interested in buying the Blazer send a note to the seller saying, "I'm interested in the Blazer, what happened to the listing?" The seller might send something like, "I got an offer in my hometown for $10K. If you make a better offer, I will sell the truck to you." Then the five or 10 people the seller is having this conversation with may say, "Holy crap, $10K for that, I can beat that without even looking at it. I'll send $11K now." Or "I will send $500 to hold the Blazer until I get out there to pick it up." The seller sits there with 1, 2, 3, or 10 people sending him money instead of just one guy that was the winning bidder sending money. The seller does not want to complete a transaction through eBay because it can be traced. He wants an outside transaction.

So the seller does not want the listing to complete. Having the listing pulled either by himself or eBay is to his benefit. It is a scam for people that don't want to let this truck get away from them.

On a side note: We know how emotional we can get when attempting to purchase a Blazer or car you really want. I know, I already did it with this Blazer. Sent a lot of money through the mail to California for this truck hoping I did not get burned. Yeah, I already met the guy and already saw the truck, but still I REALLY wanted this Blazer. Women and cars make men do crazy stuff.

BUT... they can only send a money order for a few thousand more than the purchase price so the seller can send the overpayment back to cover shipping.

AND...for this nice display of generosity they will give them 10% of their rich uncle's inheritance ($100,000) IF they can send them 1000.00 to cover the legal fees.

I put a high bid of $38,000.00 on it and was high bidder at $21,000.00. Within a few hours, all bids were cancelled and bidding started over. I told him I wanted to fly in with a cashiers check and drive it home. The responce I got was to contact him for the correct reserve price. Someone needs to catch this piece of work.
