some washin n waxin, she'll be like new!

really though, that's a hell of a deal. Around here, you'd probably pick up one like that from the right person for cheap, but I don't think THAT cheap! good find man!

Re: Another new project for a much later date..

That's $50.00 bucks well spent. The door handle turns to open, am I correct? I think that would put it no later than '52.

Re: Another new project for a much later date..

I believe '51 was the only year for turn down door handles AND vent windows.

Yep, Powell72 has it right. Vent windows and turned door handles=1951. Unless they changed the doors on you.

I would like to do one of those sometime, just to add some variety to my 68-72 collection. Always liked those rounded fenders.

Re: Another new project for a much later date..

That is sweet for $50.00!! Slap a motor in there, get a drivers door and maybe a new seat, do some rehab of the critical stuff and enjoy it as is.

Re: Another new project for a much later date..

I'm pretty sure that it's a '51. Back in '81 I had a black '51 just like that. Mine had the turn down door handles and vent windows like that if that helps any. ...Joe

Re: Another new project for a much later date..

Well, according to the lmc catalog, this is a 1951 truck. 51 was the first year for the vent window and the last year for the door handle. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
