Re: drive shaft carrier.

I have a brand new one in mine right now.
Donīt know where they got it over here but on the box it sais it comes from Federal Mogul. If I remember I will post the part# thats on the box later.
I checked out thier site but only found Differential bearings and seals.
Damn thing cost me 70 Euros (around 90 Dollars).

Hey Truckdude, what do they cost over there?

Re: drive shaft carrier.

Going today to get a another one put on. Bought mine at Schucks auto for $30., but if the drive line shop may have a better one. Remove my drive line last night and just taking the whole thing in for them to do the work, ( I hate to mess with u-joints!) May even consider a 1 piece, depends on cost.

Re: drive shaft carrier.

Checker Auto Parts, around $30.00 bucks. I just replaced mine last week. Be sure to use the spacer ring if the kit comes with one though, or your driveshaft deflection shield will rub on the bearing housing.

Re: drive shaft carrier.

Got my drive line back today and installed it. They said it may have been the original u-joints in the center! Of course no grease zerks and super worn out! They replaced all u-joints, new carrier bearing, balanced, cleaned up and painted for $84 bucks! I removed it and took it in, put it back on tonight an seems to be just fine, no shields though, oh well.
