4in the floor

my truck was originaly a 3 on the tree but the po swaped it to 4in the floor everything works great but no backup lights just wandering if anyone nows how the hook them up on the tranny there is to wire hookups i figure one runs to the backup lights but is the other ground or power or am i missing something i would just try both when i am ready to put the motor and tranny back in but figured i would ask you guys first
