Where is the gas tank in a Suburban/panel?

Just wondering since they can't put it behind the seat.

well could you put a suburban tank in a 60-66 truck with few modifications?

Re: Where is the gas tank in a Suburban/panel?

I wanted to use a burban tank on my truck a while back. Never could find one... If I come across one, I still would like to use it...

Re: Where is the gas tank in a Suburban/panel?

You guys need to talk to GMC Paul........................I bought a repo tank for my suburban from him........................I think you might have a filler neck problem if you install one in your truck because the filler neck is on the side of the tank...............He may have some picts of the tank so you can see what I'm saying...........My suburban has a gas tank filler door on the side for fueling........................Hemmit

Thanks for the replies. I wonder why they put the tank in the cab on the trucks.
