LMC dropping prices?!?!?

I looked in my new LMC catalog for the first time in 4 months and a ton of stuff is now cheaper.....does thid mean the quality is now bad?.......has anyone else noticed this or recently ordered a part from them?

Was there ever a time that there quality was good?
How about the non-knowing kid who answers the phonee, was there ever a person there who has actually driven a truck?

Finally! I've bought several things from them over a year ago and it was junk, never again.

I have ordered often from LMC. Every part I have ordered was good quality; every one fit as promised (except that hazard switch, and that was as much my fault as theirs), and the phone service each time was excellent. Heck, my last order was at my house two days after I ordered it, and it was sent UPS truck. As for pricing, I've yet to find some things cheaper, though I have found others cheaper. I don't buy everything from LMC, but I've never been disappointed with what I have bought.

Everything I've bought from LMC fit as advertised. Everything arrived in a timely fashion. I guess I can't complain about LMC. I do use other suppliers too but where else can you get a COMPLETE exhaust system made for these trucks mailed to your door for $200? Even that would have been cheaper if I wanted the loud mufflers.

I bought a ton of trim from LMC, actually all new side top and bottom trim and tailgate trim including the chrome letters and woodgrain tape. Everything except the tape was in GM packaging and fit like a glove. Now the pricing on the other hand was outrageous now that I have checked around, but as the old addage goes I guess you get what you pay for.

MOST of the repo stuff comes from the same vender regardless of who you buy it from, so getting the best price is #1. There are exceptions and you need to research what you are buying. IMO the places with the best personal service have the slowest delivery times because they have every thing dropped shipped from the manufacter so thy have no control over delivery.
I ordered some stuff from LMC before I found some cheaper places to buy things and had no problem with quality or service. Actually if you need somthing in a hurry, you will do better to order from someone like them because they actually could have it in stock making delivery time much shorter. If you are not in a hurry or they don't have it in stock, you can usally beat their price. I don't think there is a vender that somebody doesn't have a gripe against, humans make mistakes and people get bent out of shape if they are on the reiceving end of it. And a lot of mistakes are on the end of the person ordering it, but you will never hear about that on here. Use your own judgement.

The items that I have bought from them were because they had the best price. I , too, had them in just a couple days. Service was great. I shop for everything I get for the truck in all of the catalogs plus the local auto parts stores and the Chevy dealer. Sometimes it's amazing who has the best deal on what, even the GM dealer on occasion.

What I have done is to get a catalog from every vendor of parts I can and then compare the pricing. Not one vendor has the best deals, I've found that each one has certain items that are cheaper than the rest. When I'm ready to order I just add up the totals and see who comes in with the best price. I tend to buy everything from one vendor at a time though, sometimes getting discounts on shipping over certain dollar values.
I've bought from many vendors and most have good service, if they don't I don't go back to them. If I don't like what I receive I send it back. It's hard to be 100% satisfied when you buy something you can't see.

I placed an order last week for brake hoses. It arrived in 3 days, and the prices were cheap. $50 got the two fronts and one rear. Shipping is a little on the high side, however. They were chineese products, but so are everyone elses that are reasonably priced. I don't like chineese parts any more than the next guy, but it is hard to justify the difference in price.

I've gotten quite a bit of things from them. I usually go and pick it up there since it's only like 1.5 hrs away and I'm there anyways. Saves on shipping.

I haven't had any problems with there stuff fitting. Better than trying to look in the salvage yard for one little thing that you don't even know will work. Not that salvage yards are bad, but for example, I'd rather pay a little more for a new temp gauge, than some old used one from a salvage yard.
