Engine decode/ID

Hey, guys. Was wondering what engine is in the ole girl, since it originally was a six banger and it's now a 350. Here's the #s from behind the alternator:

T1105HB

Any ideas what this came out of? Thanks in advance. sb

Re: Engine decode/ID

So, since it's a 350, then it's a 69 engine w/ originally 300 hp? Is that how this reads? Also, what does "A F X" mean?

Re: Engine decode/ID

If it is the 69 engine it will have accessory holes drilled in the front of the heads. the early 275 HP 327's have the famous camel humps heads on them.
the block number will either end as 010, or 014
the complete part number on the back of the block will somwhat ID it and there is a coded date stamp on the block in the distributor area that will pinpoint also.
give me what you can find.
pull the valve covers and give me the head part numbers also. crossy

This website has a lot of information on casting numbers. It also tells you where to look. Hope it helps.

it's on the topside of the engine-all the way rearward where the tranny bolts up. easy to see on 67-72's, plenty of room back there. crossy
