like?

I agree that it looks like the van tilts that I have found... I would like to know all the modifications that it needs....

Obviously the rag joint coupler on the end needs removed from yours, then you need a steering shaft to connect to your current rag joint on your steering box. That short shift lever is pretty popular since a lot of guys put smaller steering wheels on than stock. The longer shifters look funny then...

Re: tilt identification?

The van tilts need the neutral saftey switch moved is one thing. On the end of the column where that piece bolts to the steering box on the vans..one bolt holds that one.Remove the bolt and that piece will come off. Then it will just have splines like a regular truck column. Then you just have to collapse the shaft in that goes between the column and steering box in the truck since the van column is longer than a regular truck column..then just slide the column in.You also have to swap out the grommet for the firewall to one from a truck. Some have the right wiring adapter, most of the newer ones dont and you need a $12 adapter. There is a FAQ thread on the conversion, check it out,it will answer your questions..

Re: tilt identification?

also need the wire harness adapter...unless you go cheap and cut-slice the wiring...don`t recommend.

Re: tilt identification?

Some of the older van columns have the right plug but the newer ones need the adapter. It's only a $11 +/- item

my van column was the same length as my nontilt truck column except that the steering shaft doesn't come off my non tilt, it's all one piece until you reach the shear pin....
