15" Tire Size

What size of 15' tire r you guys running?I put some 235/60r15 BF Goodrich on today and they look like mini donuts.I am trying to talk them into swapping a taller tire on it for me.I just am sick over this I had some 235/75 on it before but they r about 3" taller.I'm asking for a 2wd.I had to special order these so I might be SOL.Suppose to talk to manager about them tommarow.

Re: 15" Tire Size

I had a pair of 235/60-15's on the front of my lowered truck. They were too short. I now have a pair of 245/60's. Much better. Out back you'll see a pair of 275/60's. Running 8-inch width on front and 10-inch out back.

Re: 15" Tire Size

I've run 255/70's all the way around and they look pretty decent, 245/60's look good too on the front, but to me the perfect blend for all the way around will always be 275/60 for a stock suspension truck.

If you're gonna be going for a more expensive tire, he'll probably be very willing to work with ya!

Re: 15" Tire Size

275/60 all the way around, but are about 1" shorter than stock height tires.

I also like the look of 255/70x15, they are a bit taller but are probably the closest to stock height.

Re: 15" Tire Size

Kaycee,

Here are the some approximate sizes, all will fit a stock 15x8" wheel, some better then others. Some of these sizes are no longer available so a compromise might have to be made at a certain point.

I'm running a 255-70R15. Truck is lowered 3.5" front and 5" back.

Width Height

235-70R15 28.0
255-70R15 28.9
265-70R15 29.6
285-70R15 30.8

235-65R15 26.5
245-65R15 27.0
255-65R15 27.0
265-65R15 28.6
275-65R15 29.1

235-60R15 26.1
245-60R15 26.6
255-60R15 27.0
265-60R15 27.5
275-60R15 28.0

265-50R15 25.5
275-50R15 25.9
295-50R15 26.7

kaycee- Here is what mine looked like on the 68, although I still plan on running them for awhile after it is back together.

245/60-15 on the front, 275/60-15 on the rear. All four wheels are 15x8.

Re: 15" Tire Size

The last pic is without the engine in it. In the first two, it is lowered 2.5" in the front (spindles), and 4" in the rear (3" springs, 1" blocks).

I have 275/60/15's on back w/8" rims and 255/60/15 up front with a 6.5 or 7" rim. The truck is lowered about 4.5" in front and 6" in rear.

255/60/15 front, 275/60/15 rear on 15x8's all around with 1" front springs, 2" rear springs in the first pic.

Same size tires and wheels with a 3.5/4" drop in last pics.

Re: 15" Tire Size

I have 235/70's on mine for now. They have decent height, but are not wide enough IMO. I am planning on doing the 2/4 drop, and going with 245/60's in the front a 275/60's out back.
