New Daily driver!
Just got this truck a couple days ago. It's a 1986 K-10 Silverado. It's got a 305 and 4 speed. It also has 4 inch lift with 33's. It has a few things I have to do to it. I noticed a few oil leaks. It's leaking at the transmission and also the engine. But it is a really clean truck for being 21 years old.

Re: New Daily driver!
Dang that thing is nice! The tranny is prolly just the pan gasket which is usualy and the engine could be anything. Can u get some pcs of the interior i wanna see how the 4 speed setup looks.

Re: New Daily driver!
Back in 80's when these truck came out, I loved the looks. So when I started looking for one, I knew I wanted that style. I paid 4800 for it. Once I sell my Audi, I'll be able to save over 300 dollars a month and have a nice driving truck. I love having two truck's in the garage.

Re: New Daily driver!
it might be a rear main seal. put a pan under it thats clean get some drips and smell it see if it motor or gear oil. those trannys dont leak often i have a 4x4 version and a 2wd version sitting in my shop and no leaks for as old as they are. just a thought
Also very awesome truck my next will have to be 4x4

Wow!! You got a helluva deal on that thing. A truck in that condition would bring 7-8 grand around here easily, maybe more.

Re: New Daily driver!
That is one nice truck! You stole it for that! I gave $3200 for mine and it needed a lot of work, and still does to be that nice! I have the same exact drivetrain in mine. A 305 and 4-speed.
I have been told that this is a rare combination because most of the 305s were backed with an auto trans but I haven't found out for sure if this is true or not. Congrats on such a great score! ...Joe

Re: New Daily driver!
Thanks for all the compliments. My friend didn't want me to get it. He said it was too much. I knew it was a great find. I love the fact that parts are so easy to find. Once the old 305 craps out, I want to get a crate motor from GM. I want to restore the interior and replace the bumbers. The bumpers look like crap. The chrome is flaking off. I'm sure they are the original ones. I have a really nice driver. I don't want a show truck. I want to drive it.
