2/4 drop versus stock....

This may be a long shot, but does anyone have a pic of a 2/4 drop next to a stock ride height on a shortbed [fleet or step]? I am trying to decide whether or not to drop the stepside I am about to buy.

I think you can see the comparison on the Early Classic website. I believe it's under "Stance Photos", on page 2.

One thing to consider with a 2/4 drop is if your truck currently has an old worn out suspension, you may not see that much of a difference.

Good point Joe. I looked at those photos on Early Classic's website, and the stock stance looks pretty darn high.

Re: 2/4 drop versus stock....

Well the ECE website wasn't much help. The photos all showed the stock height a little high in back. They looked like my truck does [I have 3/4 ton springs on the work truck].

I was thinking more of seeing photos of 2/4 dropped stepsides that you guys have done. I guess I will have to do a more extensive search.

My springs are in pretty good shape as is the whole suspension. I really just wanted to see it before I installed the drop springs the truck came with.

Re: 2/4 drop versus stock....

here is one of killer 71 truck... it has a 2.5 drop spindle and 4" drop spring in the back...i would recomend doing a 2.5 drop spindle instead of a 2" drop spring, so you'll get a better ride..i know its not the same angle, but maybe killer will join in and post one thats in his sig. as the little avator
