WTB - 250 Inline 6 Upper Power steering bracket

Looking for a bracket just as shown in picture.

I have the wrong one and it places the belt on the PS pump about 3/4" to far forward.

Re: WTB - 250 Inline 6 Upper Power steering bracket

I thought the same thing when I put one on mine - I installed it all and its set up to run one belt on all 4 points (fan, crank, pump and alt) The belt is a 50" - The only pully that's a double is the crank. I wondered about it but that's what the pic looked like when I bought it and the part number for the belt indicates that's what it supposed to be. I'm no expert on it but the only adjustment I made was to use a washer to move the alternator forward a tiny bit. I do not think there are two types... been wrong before but I spent about 5 months looking until I bought one... my 0.2.

Re: WTB - 250 Inline 6 Upper Power steering bracket

Here’s a picture of the bracket but not on my motor. The bracket has a extra mounting tab that goes into the front of the water pump. And a water line that goes up towards the drivers side. My 250 water pump has only two hear core lines going to the passenger side.

Can some one confirm if this bracket is off of a 292 maybe?

Or does anybody have a close up picture of a 1968 power steering setup?

Re: WTB - 250 Inline 6 Upper Power steering bracket

I have a complete 250 PS system that I just installed to check all fit and alignment. I can show it on the engine.
I can trade you for your 292 system, if you don't want to chase around looking to buy & construct a 250 sys.
I have both, so it is all the same to me. Let me know or I may come up on your other thread to buy it, if the #1 guy can't use it.

Your bottom pic is of a 67' 292 assembly. Pricey, rare, and different than the newer 250 style.
