Re: Help ! decode my new Vin
Well theres one finally one with state code.....cool...not many actually have those identifiers.
Anyway here you go Ironhead...spend me pic of the vin plate if you can for my proof they were done this way. C - 2WD S - 6 CYL 1 - 1/2 TON 0L - sub - tail gate model K - state code.... as in it was made to the state of Pennsylvania requirements and was more than likely sold in Pennsylvania originally F - FLINT A - 1969 10137 - 137th MADE at that plant. __________________ It's a 6 cyl 69 GMC 2wd sub 1/2 ton tail gate / lift glass built in Flint and ordered to Penn. DOT requirements. Does it have option Z55 on the glove box sticker? Rod

Close decode there Jetrngr430. Pretty much got that one. c = 2 wheel drive e= V8 2 = 5200 7500 GVW OD = Fleetside P = Pontiac (Mich) B = 1968 61313 = 11313 built at that plant. The start number was 50001 at that plant.

Re: Help ! decode my new Vin
You can dechiper that when people post this style vin they usually include that blank space...and as happened, we have one with a state code identifier...being Ironhead list Penn. as location..it helps prove the point.
Idol? lol

Re: Help ! decode my new Vin
Hey thanks for the help everyone. No glove box or sticker. Just have piece with the VIN tag mounted. I was just wondering about the decode.
Got a not-so-good pic. Tough to get a good shot at it. Dark enough to have to use flash and shiney enough to glare.
