Replacing wheel studs

How do i replace the wheel studs on a corporate 14bolt full floating rear axle. The 78's lug nuts got loose and 6 out of 8 studs sheered off on the one wheel. Also if this isnt in the right section plz move it.

Re: Replacing wheel studs

I hate to say this but go to Pirate4x4 and in there tech section they have a break down of the 14blt axle you will need to pull the hubs out of it then press the studs out and press the new ones in dont use the lug nut tighten until they go in way it will just weeken the new ones and you couold end up right back ware you started.

Re: Replacing wheel studs

It not that hard at all just if you dont have a press I would take every thing apart and then take it to a shop and have them press the studs in with the cash you save you could do a disk break convertion while you have it apart.
