The Freemont plant is refering to California.Your option sheet should say California Emmisions.

Fremont is near Oakland up in the Bay Area. The plant is still there, and it is the home of NUMMI, the GM/Toyota joint venture. They make the Toyota Tacoma, Pontiac Vibe, and Toyota Matrix there.

Re: where were are trucks produced..

When I decoded my VIN, I am pretty sure it said it was made in England.? Sounded strange to me, but who knows.

Thanks Longhorn Man. This makes more sense. Seems my truck was made in ST.Louis. Not over the pond. That never sounded right.

Re: where were are trucks produced..

i reckon mine was special ordered from cali then cause as far as i know it has never been moved out of flordia since it was new..and im the third owner of it..the only time its ever left the south as far as i know the original owner of it took chris(his nephew<also the guy i bought it from} with him to seattle washington to pick up a 1969 cst to replace my 71 because the cst is the truck he always wanted and they towed the 69 back to flordia with my 71 and when they made it back to florida his uncle gave him (chris) the truck as a gift cause he didnt need it cause he bought his dream truck..and chris's uncle bought it new in 71 and my glove box dosnt say anything about california emissions or anything like that..and ive never noticed anything in the wiring or under the hood that even resembles smog garbage so that leads me to believe that it was special ordered and shipped to flordia.

Re: where were are trucks produced..

The Baltimore plant swithed from trucks to Astro and Safari vans. Now,it`s torn down,or most of it.I know they stopped the mini vans and I saw big time demo there. You know how huge those plants are/were?
