That thing looks dangerous. It could be a lot of fun though.

By "crazzy" do you mean unsafe? Like my dad always says, that's what you get when you combine PBR and a welder.

Re: Crazzy 4x4 van.
Interestingly enough, it looks like it's been used and abused some.
The front suspension/shock set up is ummm...interesting too. |

Re: Crazzy 4x4 van.
That funny the genral lee from last years Duke Boys convention is only a few miles down the road from it. I tloks like it was well used a little scarry for me when I seen the transfer case was 6in from the rear axle I knew you guys need to see pics of this thing. I dont know how the drive lines survived as long as they havein it.

I think this one fits the phrase ''High center of gravity''. Makes you wonder why people choose to create such vehicles

Re: Crazzy 4x4 van.
Several years ago I had a F**d 4x4 van with a 3" lift and 35 BFG's and that thing was so top heavy it was a joke to go off-road. With radius arms and big tires the turning radius is about the same as the queen Mary. Because the body can't twist anytime you get into a situation you need the body to flex to keep the wheels on the ground, one or two of them are off the ground. Better have lockers front and back. The only thing a 4x4 van is good for is added traction on a mild, wide jeep road. For camping they are great. For mileage they suck.

Re: Crazzy 4x4 van.
If you look at the front two arms that keep the front axle from moving side to side (due to the coil springs) you will see they are so steep that the front suspension can't possibly move up and down no matter how much spring movement you have. That baby has got to ride like a country bar bull.

Re: Crazzy 4x4 van.
I would hope they were not driving this on the street . I wouldnt mind having the tires off of it. they had a lot of tred left. you have to love the antitheft device 2 jack stands and air down the tires.

Re: Crazzy 4x4 van.
I'd nominate it for the scary steering page, but that guy hasn't updated it for a long time. He'd have some colorful things to say about it for sure. Besides the track bar running in the opposite direction, the drop down brackets for the radius arms have very little support. My favorite part is the rear suspension. It looks like he has shackles on both ends of the rear springs and what looks to be a 8 inch beam running side to side between the lift blocks.
Scary indeed.

Re: Crazzy 4x4 van.
Why does it have fender wells? The jack stands are to keep it from falling over from the leaking tire.
Man walks in and tells van owner,"I think you have a flat." Van owner asks,"How low is it?" Man answers,"On it`s side."
