Re: Beer Keg gas Tank?

i used one in a roadster 30some years ago// step one drink beer then we just rinced it out and welded a supply tube on the bottom and put a vent tube on the top as well as mounting legs and a threaded nipple for the filler the only difficult thing was finding somebody to weld the stainless// i think i saw over on jalopy journal somebody sellin prefabbed ones now

I'd guess it needs to be emptied first ...Since we're both from KY I'd be glad to help you out on that if you need it.

Really though I'd like to see some pics also I think it would be a good alternative to under the bed yet still out of the cab.

Re: Beer Keg gas Tank?

We installed one up on a trike about 20 yrs ago I will see if I can find a photo. Its hard to get the older pony kegs. We didn't need to add a vent. We just added the vented cap with a flip lid. Like on some boats. It was aluminum and we added some saddles to it. We added a tap on the bottom. Real easy to do.
