As of right now, I'm out $4,500 for a complete frame off, dip it down to bare metal, do the body work, paint it and set it back on the frame, paint job. Painted most of the cab, ( bottom, firewall, and inside), Installed what I had to, before painting the rest, (so I wouldn't scratch the paint), sent it back to the painter for fenders, doors, hood, and bed. Here's what it looks like right now. Will send more when I get it back.

My '93 is in the shop right now.
Some punks tried to break into it (again) last month. They screwed up both door handles, broke off the antennae, busted the grille, and scratched the truck all over.
Needed a complete paint job and repair.
Insurance is paying $2200, and I'm paying an extra $1500 for things like: shaving door handles, stake pockets, antennae hole, new cowl ind hood, repair of some dings and dents around the truck, custom House of Color ivory white pearl paint.
So $3500 total.
That includes removing front bumper, grille, tailgate, doors (to paint jambs), rear roll pan, and bed cover for painting.
Should be finished next week, and I'll post some pics.

$182 worth of black lacquer at $91 a gallon

$15 worth of bondo. ( still have 3/4 of it in the can)

$20 worth of a thinner grade of filler called Icing. basically a spot putty

$120 worth of lacquer thinner. mostly cheap hardware store stuff but all the actual paintwork with medium grade ditzler thinner

$70 worth of primer

~$100 in tape, sanpaper and masking supplies.

I did buy a new gun at $130 and a new line sander at $75.

Total $732
