production question

Thought I would ask this question here to receive the most feedback.

What was the first year chevy/GMC (if it matters) made the first 4X4. I don't mean a NAPCO conversion, I mean a factory 4X4. Would be nice to know and was not sure if this was covered before.

Re: production question

I believe GM started making their own 4wds in '60..anything before would be napco, and some after that still, but mostly in larger trucks...
