Wheelers engines macon ga

any one ever here of them? I have what appears to be a 230 straight six I pulled from a 1968 donor truck I found when I totaled my truck.I was getting some of the greese off the side and found a what I asume is a rebuild tag from them that reads J39486 040 010 010 . Can anyone inlighten me with any info on them or the 230 six in general, it is a really good running motor and I would like some info on it to help me decide what to do with it. thanks

Re: Wheelers engines macon ga

The J#'s is probably for in house tracking of warranty and other info.Just guessing on that. The other #'s look like they are size related, again I'm guessing but I would say it's a .040 overbore, with a crank turned .010 under on the main bearings and .010 on the rod journals.I have never heard of or dealt with Wheelers but most reasonably competent shops can build a 230/250 that will live for years if not abused.
