What are these spacers for?

Sorry for the bad pix....these spacers are about 3/4" OD 3/8" ID and 3/8" thick. There are two of them. I saved them for a reason, but age is kicking in here.

Might they be spacers for the alternator bracket or possibly the power steering bracket?

Thanks
Brian

Are they metal? Looks like spacers for the alternator or power steering pump. I've seen them, but don't remember either.

I have some spacers that look similar for a gasket one on of my quadrajet carbs but they are a hard plastic.

Re: What are these spacers for?

These spacers are metal. I have a hunch like you said that they are for the alt or PS, but not too sure at this point. I know the spacers you are talking about for the carb gasket. In fact I think they come with the carb gasket. These are not those.

Re: What are these spacers for?

They are for the alternator bracket when changing the water pump-----long water pump design. The spacer goes between the water pump and the lower bracket hole

Between the alt bracket and the wp? I have seen these and there is usually only one. That is also the later model alt bracket design when the alt is on the passenger side. I have not taken any of those apart. I have been collecting parts for the earlier design with the alt on the other side....so I'm not sure that solve my mystery.
